Home Ownership

Sarah & Scott are the happy new owners of their first home.
They closed on their Oakland Park home this week. Seven weeks before they're expecting their first child, a baby girl.

Sarah and Scott are very excited to move in, but first the cleaning. Several of us got together on Saturday with mops, brooms, bucket and lots of cleaning supplies to help Scott clean the place up for their move next weekend. Sarah provided the moral support... and beer.

The cleaning crew consisted of Scott, Marc, Joe, Amy Beth, Ashton and I. We all did our part to help get their cute two bedroom, two bath home clean enough to start moving in.

Here are a few things to know about home ownership:
  • There's always something broken or needs fixing
  • The grass always grows back and needs to be cut
  • You clean and it just gets dirty again
  • Know where your water main shut off valve is (Marc showed Scott)
  • Never, Never try to fix an electrical problem yourself (call Marc)
  • When starting a home improvement project always buy extras of everything because you'll never get it right the first time
  • Know where your nearest Home Depot is located (They sell lots of cock ... Sarah)
  • Make friends with your neighbors because they come in handy when you need a cup of sugar or someone to watch your house when you're out of town

We wish you both the best in your new home. Fill it with lots of love and beautiful memories.
